Landscaping

Because of the availability and natural beauty of Iowa limestone, it is a popular material in many landscaping projects.  Flagstone is used as a surfacing material, natural bed limestone as edging material, and larger blocks for walls.  A hidden, but equally important use of limestone, is as a compacted base or a free-draining backfill material.
