Environment
"Environment" is defined as the thin layer of life and life-supports called the biosphere. This biosphere includes the earth's air, soil, water, and living organisms. As stewards of this environment, we can direct our activities to maintain and improve the environment. Using good judgment and management practices, we can reduce erosion, pollution, and trash accumulation. Limestone is combined with living material to restore stream banks with living structures. It is also used to adjust the acidity in water, making it more desirable for fish and other aquatic life. Best management practices are employed to limit sediment and pollution from entering and harming our environment.
